This guide shows you how to reset your password if you forget it, and explains how One-Time Password (OTP) verification works.
Why this matters
If you forget your password, you can reset it yourself in just a few minutes.
Resetting Your Password
You can reset your password through the mobile app or desktop login page.
📱 Mobile App (iOS & Android)
Step 1: Open the OneLead app

Step 2: On the login screen, tap “Forgot Password?”
The link is usually below the password field.

Step 3: Enter your email address
- Type the email you use to log in
- Make sure there are no typos or spaces
- Tap “Send Email”

Step 4: Check your email
You'll receive an email within 1–2 minutes.
Subject line: “Your OneLead Password Reset OTP”
Step 5: Open the email
Step 6: Locate the six (6) digit code and enter it via the app

Step 7: Set new password
- Enter new password
- Re-enter new password (must match)
Password requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one number
- Special character recommended (e.g. !, @, #, $)

Step 8: Tap “Save Password”

Step 9: Success message appears — “Your password has been reset successfully.”
Step 10: Return to the app and log in using your new password

💻 Web/Desktop App
Step 1: Go to app.onelead.com.au/login

Step 2: Click the “Forgot Password?” link

Step 3: Enter your email address
- Type your email into the field
- Click “Request password”

Step 4: Check your inbox
Subject line: “Your OneLead Password Reset OTP”
Email should arrive within 1–2 minutes.
Step 5: Open the email
Step 6: Enter the six (6) digit OTP via the app

Important: OTP expires after 30 seconds. If it’s expired, request a new one.
Step 7: Set new password
- Enter new password
- Re-enter new password

Step 8: Click “Reset password”

Step 9: Success message appears
Step 10: Log in using your new password

Create a Strong Password
Good examples:
MyDog2024!
Sales@OneLead22
Toyota#Dealer99
Avoid using:
- “password” or “123456”
- Your name or birthday
- Common or easy-to-guess words
Tips for Remembering Passwords
- Use a passphrase: e.g. “I love selling 5 cars!” →
ILoveS3lling5C@rs!
- Use a password manager: LastPass, 1Password, Dashlane, or your browser’s built-in manager
- Write it down safely: If needed, store it securely (not on your desk or email)
Pro Tip: Use a password manager app to securely store and autofill your logins.
Troubleshooting Password Reset
“Email not found”
Check for:
- Typos or extra spaces
- Wrong email address
- Account doesn’t exist
Solutions:
- Recheck spelling
- Try another email
- Ask your admin to confirm your login email
Reset email not arriving
Check these:
- Spam or Junk folder
- Gmail’s Promotions tab
- Quarantine folder
- Blocked senders
Timing:
- Wait 1–2 minutes
- Try again after 5 minutes if needed
Still nothing?
- Re-request reset
- Ask IT to check filters
- Contact OneLead Support
OTP expired
Why it happens:
- OTP codes expire after 30 seconds
What to do:
- Go back to login screen
- Click “Forgot Password?” again
- Request a new OTP
- Complete the process quickly
“Password doesn't meet requirements”
Make sure your password includes:
- ✅ At least 8 characters
- ✅ One uppercase letter (A–Z)
- ✅ One lowercase letter (a–z)
- ✅ One number (0–9)
- ✅ A special character (e.g. !, @, #, $, %)

Some dealerships require OTP for extra security.
What is OTP?
- A 6-digit code sent to your email
- Valid for one session only
- Expires after 10 minutes
- Adds a second layer of protection

Why it matters:
- Protects against unauthorised access
- Prevents logins even if your password is stolen
- Follows industry-standard security practices
Changing Your Email Address
You can’t change this yourself.
To update your email:
Contact your admin and provide:
- Your current login email
- Your new email
- Reason for the update
Admins will contact OneLead support to update it.
Why administrators must do this
Your email is your unique login ID. Changing it requires admin and support approval for security.
Security Reminders
Protect Your Account
✅ Do:
- Use a strong, unique password
- Log out on shared devices
- Keep your email secure
- Enable Face ID or biometric login
- Change your password if you suspect any issues
❌ Don’t:
- Share your password or OTP code
- Reuse passwords from other platforms
- Store your password in plain sight
- Let others use your account
Suspicious Activity?
Report it immediately if you notice:
- An OTP email you didn’t request
- Login from a device you don’t recognise
- Password reset emails you didn’t request
- Any unusual account activity
Contact:
- Your manager
- Your dealership’s IT
- OneLead support
Act fast:
- Change your password
- Review account activity
- Enable extra security if available
Common Questions
How often should I change my password?
- Every 90 days (or as per dealership policy)
- Immediately if you suspect it’s compromised
Can I use the same password forever?
- Not recommended — change it regularly for security
What if someone saw me type my password?
- Change it immediately via Profile Settings
- Log out of all devices (if available)
