This guide shows you how to view and update your profile settings in OneLead, including your personal information, photo, password, and preferences.
Why your profile matters
Your profile is how you appear to customers and your team.
Your profile includes:
- Name and profile photo
- Contact information (email, phone number)
- Your dealership and assigned role
- Details used on your digital business card
- System preferences
Why keep it updated:
- Customers see your information on your digital card
- Your photo appears in messages and contact previews
- Accurate details help customers reach you
- A complete profile builds trust and looks professional

Accessing Profile Settings
📱 Mobile App (iOS & Android)
Step 1: Open the OneLead app

Step 2: Tap the profile icon (usually top-left)

Step 3: When the side pane opens, tap Profile

Step 4: Tap Edit to update your details

💻 Web/Desktop App
Step 1: Log in to OneLead

Step 2: Click your profile photo or name (bottom-left)

Step 3: Select My Profile

Step 4: Your profile page opens

Your Profile Overview
What you’ll see:
Profile Photo
- Current image (or placeholder)
- Option to upload/replace your photo
Basic Information
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Phone number
Work Details
- Dealership(s)
- Referenced role / actual system role
- Brand assignments (if enabled)
System Preferences (Coming soon)
- Language
- Notifications
- Display options
Changing Your Profile Picture
📱 Mobile App
Step 1: Go to Profile Settings

Step 2: Tap your current photo

Step 3: Choose a source:
- Photo library
- Take new photo
- Grant permissions if prompted

Step 4: Crop and adjust

Step 5: Tap Save Changes

💻 Web/Desktop
Step 1: Go to Profile Settings

Step 2: Click Upload image

Step 3: Select a JPG/PNG file

Step 4: Crop if required

Step 5: Click Set new profile picture

Photo Guidelines
Recommended:
- Clear, well-lit headshot
- Plain background
- Business casual attire
- Recent, professional-looking image
Avoid:
- Group photos
- Selfies or filtered images
- Sunglasses, hats
- Blurry or dark photos
Technical specs:
- JPG or PNG
- 500×500px or larger
- Under 5 MB
- Square (1:1) preferred
Pro Tip: Your digital business card uses this photo. Choose one that feels trustworthy and professional.
Editing Your Basic Information
Personal details you can edit:
- First name
- Last name
- Phone number
You cannot edit:
- ❌ Email address (must contact admin)

Updating Your Name
Step 1: Open Profile Settings
Step 2: Edit the name fields
Step 3: Save changes
Where it updates:
- Digital business card
- Customer records
- Messaging
- Reporting
Updating Your Phone Number
Step 1: Open Profile Settings
Step 2: Edit "Phone Number" field
Step 3: Save
Format tips:
- Mobile preferred
- e.g., 0412 345 678 or (03) 9123 4567
Important: Use a number you actively monitor. Customers may call or text you directly.
Changing Your Email Address
You cannot change your email yourself.
Why:
- Your email is your username
- Used for authentication and OTP
- Prevents unauthorised account access
To request a change:
- Contact your manager/administrator
- Provide current + new email
- Admin contacts OneLead support for update
- You’ll receive a confirmation once changed
Changing Your Password
💻 Web/Desktop App
Step 1: Open Profile Settings

Step 2: Find Change Password

Step 3: Enter current password

Step 4: Enter and confirm new password
Password must include:
- Minimum 8 characters
- One uppercase letter
- One number
- Special character recommended

Step 5: Save changes

Step 6: Success message appears

Pro Tip: Update your password every 90 days. Set a recurring reminder.
Privacy Settings
Information visible to customers:
- Your name
- Photo (if set)
- Phone number
- Dealership
Visible to your team:
- Same as above, plus:
- Role
- Performance metrics (if manager/admin)
Not visible:
- Password
- Private notes
- Login activity
Profile Completeness
Why complete it?
- Looks more professional
- Customers trust you faster
- Card details populate correctly
- Colleagues can contact you easily
Required fields:
- First name
- Last name
- Dealership
Recommended:
- Phone number
- Profile photo
- Job title
Troubleshooting Profile Issues
Picture won’t upload
Check:
- File size < 5 MB
- JPG/PNG format
- Strong internet connection
Try:
- Compressing the image
- Using another browser
- Clearing cache
Changes not saving
Possible causes:
- Connection issue
- Browser problem
- Missing “Save” action
- Permissions limit
Try:
- Refreshing
- Saving again
- Switching devices
- Asking admin to check permissions
Profile picture not updating on digital card
Causes:
- Sync delay
- Cached data
- Multiple sessions
Fix:
- Wait 5–10 minutes
- Log out and back in
- Clear app/browser cache
